KD(X) Series Ceiling-Type Air Conditioning Units - High-Quality China Suppliers & Factory for Commercial Use

,

Features and Applications of KD(X) Series Ceiling Air Conditioning Units

,

The KD(X) series ceiling air conditioning units are expertly designed end-mounted air handling units tailored for central air conditioning systems. These versatile units can filter, cool, dehumidify, heat, and add humidity to the air while also introducing fresh air. They are particularly suited for small commercial and industrial air conditioning projects, delivering conditioned air through ducts over considerable distances. With 13 models and 39 specifications available, the KD(X) series offers air volumes ranging from 1500m³/h to 15000m³/h and cooling capacities from 8.4kW to 324.8kW. These units feature a modern aesthetic in either white or blue and include durable nylon filters. The heat exchanger is equipped with high-efficiency aluminum fins and copper tubes, significantly enhancing heat exchange efficiency through advanced mechanical expansion techniques.

    Installation of the unit

The air conditioning unit should be installed horizontally within the ceiling cavity. The side of the condensate water pipe is allowed to be slightly lower by 0.5% but not higher, to ensure the smooth discharge of the condensate water. There should be sufficient installation and maintenance space around the unit.
The condensate water discharge connected to the unit must have a water seal, and the water seal should have sufficient height.
The connecting pipe of the evaporator is inlet-down and outlet-up. A stop valve and filter should be installed at the inlet.
The air duct connected to the unit needs to be flexibly connected. The water pipe connected to the unit should use a flexible connection. The torque during connection should not be too large to avoid damaging the heat exchanger. The pipeline must have a separate support and the weight should not be borne by the unit.
The motor of the fan should have good grounding. In addition, it should have other reliable protection devices such as overload, overheating, and phase loss.

Operation and Maintenance of the Unit

The cold and hot media of the unit should be clean softened water, and the working pressure should not exceed 1.6 Mpa. During normal operation, the temperature rise of the fan bearings should not exceed 40℃.
The outlet pipe is equipped with an exhaust valve. Before the first operation and seasonal conversion, open the valve to discharge air. Cooling water should not be lower than 5℃, and hot water should not exceed 70℃.
Winter Operation: In extreme cold, turn on the heating unit for 5-10 minutes before starting the fan. When shutting down, close the fresh air valve first, then the heating unit, and finally the fan.
Winter Shutdown: Drain water from the coil and dry with compressed air or add antifreeze. If idle for a short time, ensure hot water circulation. In other seasons, keep the heat exchanger filled with water to reduce corrosion.
Maintenance: Clean filters regularly. Check fastening bolts after one month. Every 2-3 years, perform comprehensive maintenance, including scale removal, fin cleaning, and regular lubrication of fan/motor parts.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the required slope for installing the unit?
The unit should be installed horizontally, but the condensate water pipe side can be slightly lower by 0.5% to ensure smooth drainage. It must never be higher than the other side.
What are the water temperature limits for operation?
For cooling in summer, the water temperature should not be lower than 5℃. For heating in winter, the water temperature should not exceed 70℃.
How do I prevent the heat exchanger from freezing in winter?
When not in use, drain the water and dry the pipes with compressed air or add antifreeze. During short idle periods, maintain hot water circulation. In extremely cold regions, start the heating unit before the fan.
What should I check if the air volume decreases?
A decrease in air volume is generally caused by excessive dust accumulation in the filters. Filters should be cleaned regularly to maintain performance.
    When is comprehensive maintenance required?
A comprehensive maintenance should be carried out after two to three years of operation. This includes removing scale from tubes, cleaning fins, and lubricating moving parts.
