KD(X) Series Ceiling-Type Air Conditioning Units

Features and Application Scope

The KD(X) series ceiling air conditioning units are end-mounted air handling units for the central air conditioning system. They can filter the air, cool and dehumidify it, heat it, add humidity, and introduce fresh air. They are suitable for delivering treated air through ducts to locations at a certain distance, especially for small commercial and industrial application building air conditioning projects. This series consists of 13 models and 39 specifications, with air volumes ranging from 1500m³/h to 15000m³/h and cooling capacities ranging from 8.4kW to 324.8kW. The units have a white or blue appearance and come with nylon filters. The heat exchanger uses copper tubes with high-efficiency aluminum fins. After mechanical expansion, the heat exchange efficiency is significantly improved.

Characteristics of modern production:

● High quality

● Low cost

● Short production cycle

    Installation of the unit

▲ The air conditioning unit should be installed horizontally within the ceiling cavity. The side of the condensate water pipe is allowed to be slightly lower by 0.5% but not higher, to ensure the smooth discharge of the condensate water. There should be sufficient installation and maintenance space around the unit.
▲ The condensate water discharge connected to the unit must have a water seal, and the water seal should have sufficient height.
▲ The connecting pipe of the evaporator is inlet-down and outlet-up. A stop valve and filter should be installed at the inlet.
▲ The air duct connected to the unit needs to be flexibly connected. The water pipe connected to the unit should use a flexible connection. The torque during connection should not be too large to avoid damaging the heat exchanger. The pipeline must have a separate support and the weight should not be borne by the unit.
▲ The motor of the fan should have good grounding. In addition, it should have other reliable protection devices such as overload, overheating, and phase loss.
    Installation of the unit

Operation and Maintenance of the Unit

▲ The cold and hot media of the unit should be clean softened water, and the working pressure should not exceed 1.6 Mpa.
▲ During normal operation of the unit, the temperature rise of the fan bearings should not exceed 40℃.
▲ The outlet pipe of the unit is equipped with an exhaust valve. Before the first operation and during the cold and hot conversion, the exhaust valve should be opened to discharge the air in the heat exchanger and pipeline to avoid affecting the heat exchange effect. The summer cooling water temperature of the unit should not be lower than 5℃, and the winter hot water temperature should not be higher than 70℃.
▲ In extremely cold regions in winter and when the fresh air unit is in heating mode, the heating unit should be turned on for 5-10 minutes first, then the supply fan should be started to prevent the formation of ice plugs in the heat exchanger due to the accumulation of cold air; when shutting down, the fresh air valve should be closed first, then the heating unit, and finally the supply fan.
▲ When the unit is not in use in winter, the water in the coil should be drained, and the pipe should be dried with compressed air. If the water cannot be blown clean, antifreeze should be added to the pipe. If the unit is not in operation for a short time in winter, ensure that there is hot water circulation in the pipe to prevent rust and freezing. Except for winter, when the heat exchanger is not in use in other seasons, it should also be filled with water to reduce corrosion.
▲ Filters should be cleaned regularly to ensure the performance of the unit. If the air volume decreases, it is generally caused by excessive dust accumulation in the filter.
▲ After one month of operation of the unit, check whether the fastening bolts and the solid bolts of the fan are loose.
▲ After two to three years of operation of the unit, a comprehensive maintenance should be carried out, remove the scale in the heat exchanger tube, clean the heat exchanger fin with compressed air or water. The lubrication parts of the fan, motor, etc. should be regularly lubricated with oil.
